The Indian market is set for a weak start on Tuesday, tracking its Asian peers as investors remain doubtful of the US-China trade war getting resolved before the 90-day deadline.
Investor sentiment remained mixed in India as the fifth Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Monetary Policy Committee meeting will start on Tuesday. According to a poll conducted by CNBC-TV18, the RBI will keep its repo rate unchanged at 6.50 percent in the upcoming policy.
At 07:15 AM, SGX Nifty, an early indicator of the Nifty 50's trend in India, was down 0.28 percent at 10,907.50, indicating a weak opening for the Indian market.

Eicher Motors: Royal Enfield, the two-wheeler division of Eicher Motors, on Monday reported a six percent drop in sales to 65,744 units in November.
Jet Airways: In an attempt to cut costs and boost revenues, the full-service carrier
will stop providing free meals to most domestic economy class passengers from January.
IL&FS: Debt-laden Infrastructure Leasing and Finance Company (IL&FS)
on Monday said it has appointed N Sivaraman as group chief operating officer (COO).
HUL, GSK Consumer Healthcare: The board of Hindustan Unilever Limited
on Monday approved a scheme of amalgamation between the company and GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Limited (GSK CH India), a statement by HUL said.
ICICI Securities: To help retail investors tide over their liquidity requirements, brokerage ICICI Securities
on Monday said money for share sales of up to Rs 50,000 per day will be deposited within 30 minutes.
Axis Bank: The bank, in an exchange notice,
clarified reports that an internal inquiry regarding the income tax probe on the staff for facilitating benami deals for jewellers was already done and the complaint was received by the bank in March 2018.
