Benchmark indices opened higher with Nifty50 reclaiming 10,900 on Wednesday tracking positive global cues after after Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell reinforced the US central bank’s recent shift toward a more “patient” approach on policy in the face of a slowing economy.
The S&P BSE Sensex was trading at 36,187, up 214 points in the early morning trade while the broader Nifty50 was ruling at 10,889, up 54 points.
The market closed sharply lower on Tuesday amid geo-political tensions after surprise air strike by Indian Air Force on Pakistan Occupied Kashmir-based terror camps.
