Shares of Deepak Fertilizers and Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd on Thursday touched an intraday high of Rs 1,91.85, jumping nearly 17 percent. The stock gained after more than a week of decline, outperforming the sector by nearly 12 percent.
The stock traded at Rs 187.80, higher by 14.55 percent at 12.41 PM. On a monthly basis, the smallcap stock has returned negative returns by 4.5 percent.
The scrip traded 57 percent lower from its 52-week high of Rs 437.05, hit on January 5 earlier this year. It hit a 52-week low of Rs 162.8 in Wednesday's trade.
On NSE, nearly 35 lakh shares have traded so far.
Deepak Fertilizer's peers also traded higher with Madras Fertilizer surging more than 11 percent. Chambal Fertilizers traded higher by 5.6 percent, while Nagarjuna Fertilizers was up by nearly 5 percent.
EID Parry was up by 3 percent and GNFC shares gained 2.2 percent.
