Pramod Gubbi, co-founder of Marcellus Investment Managers, in an interview with CNBC-TV18, said, “We are in the beginning of a reasonably strong economic recovery.”
On Bajaj Finance, he said, “If you look at it in the context of what is happening in the non-banking financial companies (NBFCs) space in general and the competitive forces at play, Bajaj Finance is in a much stronger position today than where it was 12 months ago. We are happy holders, we did buy quite significantly in the fall in April-May. Were it to fall again, we will be more than happy to top up our position.”
In terms of Alkyl Amines, he said, “If you take a relatively longer-term view, three years and beyond, it is still a great company to be in and we continue to be happy holders notwithstanding the recent rally in prices which could scare some people particularly from a short-term perspective.”
On realty space, he mentioned, “Building materials in general whether it is cement, paints and so on clearly are in a sweet spot. We are seeing a recovery in housing market. Therefore, there is a strong underlying demand at the beginning of the cycle which can sustain over the next three-five years at least.”
