Nirmal Bang Institutional Equities prefers Hero MotoCorp in the auto space and HCL Tech among IT scrips, said Girish Pai, Head of Research at the investment firm on Wednesday.

“Within the largecap universe we like Hero MotoCorp,” said Pai told CNBC-TV18.
“I would be very selective on the auto names. The run-up has been very steep. Hero MotoCorp is the stock I would probably recommend from the largecap auto universe,” he said.
Cement pack looks very interesting, he said, “Going forward in FY22, our analyst is expecting a double-digit growth in cement space. UltraTech Cement in the largecap space represents a fairly interesting bet. We like UltraTech in the largecap space. In the smallcap space we like Birla Corp and JK Cement.”
In the infrastructure space, Pai likes PNC Infra India Private Ltd and KNR Constructions Ltd.
“Both have zero debts on their books and order inflows have been strong in the infrastructure space especially on the roadside. PNC Infra, KNR and Solar Industries look better bets to me at this point in time.”
HCL Technologies is his top bet in the IT services side, he said.
