Indian shares settled lower on Friday as disappointment over technology giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) missing quarterly margin estimates weighed on the trading sentiment.
The Sensex closed the session 0.27 percent lower at 36,009.84, while the broader Nifty ended down 0.25 percent at 10,794.95. For the week, however, the Sensex rose 0.9 percent, while the Nifty gained 0.6 percent.

Top Nifty gainers this week
Axis Bank: Shares surged 7.6 percent this week and also ended 0.41 percent up at Rs 666.
Tata Motors: The Tata Group automobile stock gained 5.5 percent on a weekly basis, but ended Friday's trade lower at Rs 179.80, down by 3.20 percent.
ITC: Shares of the FMCG and tobacco major jumped 4.9 percent this week and also ended Friday's trade as the top Nifty gainer, rising 1.76 percent to Rs 291.90.
Bharti Airtel: The telecom company's shares surged 4 percent this week, but ended today's trade lower by 1.04 percent quoting at Rs 333.80.
UPL: The stock surged 1.10 percent in trade today, settling at Rs 781.60. The stock gained 3.6 percent this week.
Top Nifty losers this week
HPCL: Shares of HPCL dipped 6.3 percent this week as global crude oil prices strengthened in the backdrop of US-China trade tariff talks. Shares ended 0.17 percent lower at Rs 232.50.
BPCL: Shares of the public sector oil marketing company slipped 6.1 percent on a weekly basis like its peers. It closed Friday's trade marginally up by 0.12 percent at Rs 336.
GAIL: The Gas Authority of India Ltd shares declined 4.1 percent this week and also ended lower by 1.8 percent at Rs 337.30.
UltraTech Cement: Shares of the cement company fell 3.6 percent this week and also ended lower by 1.13 percent, quoting at Rs 3,775.
Bharti Infratel: Shares plunged 3 percent on a weekly basis and ended nearly 3 percent lower today, continuing its downtrend. The stock quoted at Rs 276.60.
