The Sensex and the Nifty 50 erased opening gains to close largely flat on Tuesday.

The Sensex ended 26 points lower at 37,665, while the Nifty 50 settled at record closing high albeit with a marginal gain of 2 points at 11,389.
Equity indexes ended weaker on profit-booking across all sectors, but particularly in banks.
While metal and auto stocks pulled indexes, banks, IT, pharma and heavyweight stocks like Reliance Industries, TCS, HDFC and ITC dragged them.
Here's a list of stocks that trended in the markets today:
Punjab National Bank: Shares of PNB fell over seven percent on the NSE today after the public sector lender reported its June quarter results. PNB shares traded at Rs 82.90, down by 7.94 percent, or losing Rs 7.15 in value at close. Intraday, it touched a high of Rs 91.55 and a low of Rs 82.50, after opening at Rs 90.25.
Intellect Design Arena: Shares added six percent intraday after the company reported it has signed multi-million dollar deal with an Asian Bank. Shares settled 14.95 percent higher at Rs 233.30, or rising by Rs 30.35 in value on the BSE. Intraday, it ranged between Rs 243.50 and Rs 198.40.
Avanti Feeds: Shares fell 11.81 percent to trade at Rs 476.50 at close on the back of weak earnings posted by the company, losing Rs 63.80 in value. It touched a low of Rs 471.20 and a high of Rs 510.10 on the BSE.
Wockhardt: Shares of the pharma firm ended 4.49 percent lower at Rs 594.10, losing Rs 27.95, after opening at Rs 629.50. Intraday, it touched a low of Rs 591.10 on the BSE.
Adani Power: Shares of Adani Power fell ten percent intraday after the firm’s net loss widened to Rs 825 crore in the June quarter. On the BSE at close, it traded at Rs 29.80 or lower by 9.70 percent.
Adani Ports: Shares of Adani Ports and SEZ, fell 4.79 percent to Rs 378.70, dipping by Rs 19.05 in value on the BSE. It further slid to Rs 371.95, or by 6.49 percent, dipping by Rs 25.80 at close.
Eros International: Shares of Eros International Media rose eight percent to a one-month high of Rs 134.20 after Reliance Industries Ltd completed the acquisition of five percent stake in Eros International Plc., the promoter firm. The scrip settled at Rs 131, rising by 5.43 percent, or by Rs 6.75 on the BSE.
Dhanlaxmi Bank: Shares of Dhanlaxmi Bank tanks seven percent on Q1FY19 losses, which is the third straight quarterly loss reported by the bank. It recovered towards the end to close at Rs 16.50, down by 3.79 percent on the BSE.
Honeywell Automation: Shares of Honeywell Automation India rose nearly 11 percent to a lifetime high of Rs 23,196.35 after the company posted a 65.6% on-year rise in net profit for the June quarter at Rs 91.71 crore. It closed at Rs 21,835.60, surging by 4.53 percent, or gaining by Rs 947.20 in value on the BSE.
Vakrangee: Shares hit a one-month high of Rs 63.80 as the stock's circuit limit has been raised to 20 percent from five percent. Shares of Vakrangee up for the fifth day in a row, jumped 13 percent to Rs 63.65. It eventually settled at Rs 66.15, rising by 18.44 percent, or higher by Rs 10.30 on the BSE.
