Indian equity benchmarks ended lower on Thursday as the volatility remained higher. Sensex closed at 38,981.43, down by 5.12 points while Nifty closed at 11,724.80, down by 23.40 points.
Around 1,053 shares have advanced, 1,442 shares declined, and 163 shares are unchanged. Among sectors, all sectors remained in the negative territory except realty.

Rattan India Finance sold 5,82,75,000 shares of Reliance Power at Rs 5.39 per share aggregating to Rs 31,41,02,250.
