The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain closed on November 27th, Monday, on account of Guru Nanak Jayanti. Trading across various segments, including equity derivatives, equity, SLB, currency derivatives, and interest rate derivatives, will be suspended for the entire day. Additionally, the Multi Commodity of India Limited (MCX) will also be closed for trading.

Guru Nanak Jayanti, also known as Gurpurab, is a significant festival for the Sikh community, commemorating the birth anniversary of the revered founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak Dev. The celebration holds special importance in Sikh culture.
Trading is scheduled to resume on both the NSE and BSE on Tuesday, November 28.
In 2023, the stock market experienced closures for 13 weekdays, excluding November 27, due to various festivals and designated holidays. The only remaining non-trading day in December is December 25, Christmas.
On Friday, November 24, the market indices concluded on a neutral note. Persistent downward pressure from tech stocks led to the Nifty falling below the 19,800 mark. The Sensex reported a decline of 48 points, closing at 65,970. Despite this, the broader market displayed resilience, outperforming the major indices.
