Rail Vikas Nigam Limited has won an order worth ₹193 crore from from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam to construct eight grid substations and their associated lines and bays.
The nature of the contract includes construction of eight new 132 kV grid substations at Arnod, Chitamba, Devri, Jarkhoda, Peelwa Nadi, Ralawata, Seeswali and Tarnau, as well as associated lines and 132 kV bays including the supply of all equipment, material, among others, the company said in a stock exchange filing. The contract is to be executed in 24 months.
On another note, RVNL on Monday, March 11, emerged as the lowest bidder for a significant project pertaining to Maharashtra's metro infrastructure development. RVNL secured the bid with a proposal amounting to ₹339.23 crore.
The Maharashtra Metrol Rail Corporation Ltd awarded RVNL the contract to design and cosntruct the elevated viaduct, which is part of the Pune Metro Rail project extension.
RVNL shares were trading with losses after two days on Tuesday, March 12. The stock was down 0.51% at ₹244.2 apiece at 1.45 pm. It has gained 6.38% in the past month, 43.8% in the last six months and 281.94% in the last year.
