Procter & Gamble Hygiene & Healthcare Ltd. has declared an interim dividend of ₹160 per share, it said in an exchange filing. The dividend announcement was made along with its December quarter results.
The interim dividend also includes a one-time special dividend of ₹60 per share, to commemorate 60 years of the company.
Record date for this interim dividend has been set at February 9, 2024 and will be paid to eligible shareholders on or before February 29, 2024.
This is the highest dividend payout announced by the company since May 2017, when it paid ₹362 per share to shareholders.
For the December quarter, the company's revenue from operations stood at ₹1,133 crore, which was flat, compared to the ₹1,137 crore it reported during the same period last year.
Net profit for the period stood at ₹228.9 crore, compared to the ₹207.4 crore it reported during the same period last year.
EBITDA for the quarter stood at ₹309.7 crore, which was 6.6% higher compared to last year, while EBITDA margin expanded to 27.3% from 25.5% last year.
Shares of P&G Hygiene & Health Care are trading little changed at ₹17,200.
