“At NSE we intend to play a pivotal role in the Idea to IPO journey for entrepreneurs and investors and as the start-up ecosystem develops in India, there is an immediate need for awareness and structured learning around private markets from a practitioner point of view, said, Ravi Varanasi, Chief Business Development Officer of NSE.
“NSE Knowledge Hub is a platform exclusively designed for financial learning and this partnership with Lets Venture will add immense value to the learners in the startup community.”
According to experts, for India’s ecosystem to grow and mature, there is a need to create awareness and spread education around unlocking capital from investors. As per LetsVenture data, India today has a very low ratio of investors compared to founders - probably as low as 1:6.
LetsVenture is an active platform for startup fundraising across stages having facilitated fundraising of over Rs 1,174 crore for 290-plus startups since 2014. The LV Angel Fund AIF has over 800 SEBI-accredited investors and more than Rs 220 crore in assets under management.
“At LetsVenture, we have invested time into simplifying the understanding of angel investing. In the last 6 years, we have conducted many masterclasses around early stage investing. However, there continues to be a gap in structured content that allows UHNIs to understand private markets, how to make asset allocations as well as start investing. Partnering with NSE Knowledge Hub to create a formalised programme for high net worth individuals seeks to address this gap,” says Shanti Mohan, co-founder & CEO of LetsVenture.
NSE Knowledge Hub is an AI-powered learning experience platform from NSE Academy, a wholly owned subsidiary of National Stock Exchange. NSE Knowledge Hub is designed to curate content for learners from internal, external and premium sources for the personalised learning experience, the company said.
