Leading FMCG major Marico's Board on Tuesday declared a second interim dividend of ₹6.50 per equity share of ₹1 each for the financial year 2023-24. Marico has fixed March 6, 2024, as the record date for the interim dividend to determine eligible shareholders. The dividend payout will be credited on or before March 28.
"Second Interim Equity Dividend for the financial year 2023-24 of Rs. 6.50/- per equity share of Re. 1 each. As intimated vide our letter dated February 19, 2024, the record date for reckoning the list of shareholders who shall be entitled to receive the said interim dividend shall be Wednesday, March 6, 2024. The Second Interim Equity Dividend will be paid to such shareholders on or before Thursday, March 28, 2024," the FMCG major informed exchanges in a filing.
Marico also announced the appointment of Nikhil Khattau as an additional director (non-independent non-executive) from April 1 and liable to retire by rotation and subject to approval of the shareholders.
Marico share price performance and financials
Marico shares settled nearly half a percent lower in trade on Tuesday, quoting at ₹523.25 apiece. The one-year return on Marico stock price is 6.76%.
On January 29, Marico reported a 15.9% year-on-year (YoY) rise in net profit at ₹386 crore for the third quarter that ended December 31, 2023. A CNBC-TV18 poll had predicted a profit of ₹366 crore for the quarter under review. The company's revenue from operations declined 1.9% to ₹2,422 crore.
