One should look at equities as an asset class from a long-term perspective, advised Swati Kulkarni, executive VP and fund manager at UTI MF as there are "positive things that would continue to attract flows".
“Looking at leading indices does not give a sense but if one looks at RoE profile of Indian companies — on a five-year average basis, we are fairly competitive...," said Kulkarni in an interview with CNBC-TV18.
Kulkarni said it is very clear that investors are looking to park their money or invest in sectors that have growth visibility.
According to her, as earnings growth returns, the valuation divide currently seen in the market could reduce. “Investors like me who look at growth at reasonable price are trying to balance growth as well as value plays," she said, adding that this has been the investing strategy for funds that she manages.
