Shares of online services provider Info Edge (India) Ltd, gained more than 3% on Monday February 4, after Google Play Store reinstated its apps like, Naukri Recruiter and Shiksha, after delisting them last week.
In a stock exchange filing, the company expressed its commitment to working with Google to avoid any future delisting or removal of its applications from the Google Play Store.
"We would like to inform you that the company's rest of the mobile applications, namely Naukri recruiter and Shiksha, have been reinstated on the Google Play Store," Info Edge said.
On Saturday, the company announced that several of its mobile applications such as Naukri.com Job Search app, Naukri Recruiter, Naukrigulf Job Search app, 99acres and Shiksha, were removed or delisted from the Google Play Store.
The company was taken by surprise by Google's removal or delisting of its mobile applications from the Google Play Store, as this action was undertaken without providing adequate notice to the firm.
The development came a day after Google said it would start removing 10 Indian app developers from its Play Store in India if they do not adhere to the platform's billing policies. However, Google didn't name any apps.
Google said that this group of developers had over three years to prepare and adhere to the payment policies of the Play Store.
In a blog post, Google stated, "After giving these developers more than three years to prepare, including three weeks after the Supreme Court’s order, we are taking necessary steps to ensure our policies are applied consistently across the ecosystem, as we do for any form of policy violation globally."
At 11.45 am, shares of Info Edge were trading 0.35% higher at ₹ 5,208.40 on the BSE.
