Indian equity benchmarks closed slightly lower due to the lack of positive cues. The Nifty Midcap index was down about 0.2 percent.
Sensex closed at 36,671.43 down by 53.99 points while Nifty closed at 11,035.40 down by 22.80 points.

Amansa Holdings Pvt Ltd bought 12,09,249 shares of Laurus Labs at Rs 350 per share amounting to Rs 42,32,37,150 crore.
Atharva Green Ecotech sold 34,82,350 shares of Advanced Enzyme Technologies at Rs 176.95 per share aggregating to a total amount of Rs 61,62,01,832.5 crore.
