Benchmark indices ended higher on April 12 with Nifty ending above 11,600 level. Sensex closed at 38,767.11 up by 160.10 points while Nifty closed at 11,643.50 up by 46.80 points.
Around 1,355 shares advanced, 1,138 shares declined and 153 shares remain unchanged during Friday's trading session.
Among sectors, auto and FMCG sectors gained the most while banking, IT and pharma remained in the red.
Amongst biggest trades, Carlina bought 46,50,000 shares of PC Jeweller at Rs 105.73 aggregating to Rs 49,16,44,500.
