The benchmark equity indices remained cautious on Thursday as the earnings season is about to begin full-fledged with Infosys and TCS declaring their Q4FY19 results today.
Sensex closed at 38,607.01 up by 21.66 points while Nifty closed at 11,596.70 up by 12.40 points. Around 1,153 shares advanced and 1,325 shares declined.
Among sectors, IT, realty, public banks and pharma remained in the red while auto, FMCG, media gained the most.
