Indian equity benchmarks settle at day's low on Monday where Nifty closed below 11,600 and Sensex fell nearly 500 points.
Sensex closed at 38,645.18 down by 495.10 points while Nifty closed at 11,594.50 down by 158.30 points. Around 747 shares advanced, 1,751 shares declined and 166 shares remained unchanged.
Except IT, all other sectoral indices remained in the red led by banking, energy, auto, metals, pharma along with others.
