Benchmark indices continued its rally with Nifty ending slightly below 11,700 level. Sensex closed at 38,905.84 up by 138.73 points while Nifty closed at 11,690.40 up by 46.90 points.
Around 1,454 shares advanced, 1,129 shares declined and 184 shares remained unchanged.
Among sectors, metal space surged the most with 2 percent followed by banking, realty, IT while pharma and energy ended with loss.

Smaller Cap World Fund bought 6,86,545 shares of Metropolis Healthcare at Rs 957.67 aggregating to Rs 65,74,83,550.
Rattan India Finance sold 4,48,85,489 shares of Reliance Communications at Rs 2.5 totaling to an amount of Rs 11,22,13,722.
