While acknowledging the current overbought conditions in the short term, Sanger cautioned against unwarranted euphoria. He advised short-term traders to exercise patience in anticipation of potential profit-taking and pullbacks. Despite uncertainties in the immediate future, Sanger asserted that there are no formidable challenges in the Indian market that should deter long-term investors.
Sanger candidly admitted to his previous apprehensions about an imminent recession, particularly in the United States. He noted that while a mild recession might not significantly impact India, the possibility of a recession in the US remains uncertain. However, he underscored the solidity of the India story, even in the face of potential global economic challenges.
He also shared his cautious stance on the US economic landscape, expressing uncertainty about whether the Goldilocks scenario—no recession will prevail or if a recession is on the horizon. Despite his earlier concerns, he reiterated that a mild recession would not adversely affect India, reinforcing the country's resilience in the global economic landscape.
Sanger also revealed his preference for the power sector theme, highlighting major players such as NTPC, Coal India, and NHPC. He identified the power sector as a promising area for investment, providing potential opportunities for market participants.
