Gensol Engineering on Friday, March 22 said it has received its largest ever turnkey EPC order worth ₹520 crore from a leading power generation utility in Maharashtra.
"The project involves the development of a 100 MWAC/135 MWp ground-mount solar PV power project across 500 acre in Maharashtra," the company said in a stock exchange filing.
The company's CEO Ali Imran Naqvi said the project will play a critical role in India's clean energy transition and decarbonised future.
Last month, the company's subsidiary Gensol Electric Vehicles Pvt Ltd received the certification and approval for its electric vehicle from the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI).
This achievement marks a major advancement, clearing the way for the official launch and sale of the electric vehicle in the Indian market, Gensol Engineering said in a stock exchange filing.
Last month, the company also bagged two orders worth ₹337 crore for construction of solar power projects in Rajasthan and Maharashtra.The contracts cover everything from design and engineering to procurement, construction and commissioning services. Also, the projects include modules as free-issue items, showcasing Gensol's dedication and proficiency in the renewable energy sector, the company said.
Gensol Engeering shares ended 0.82% lower at ₹874 apiece on Thursday, March 21.
