Droneacharya Aerial Innovations Ltd announced on Tuesday that it has bagged a significant service order from Adani Group for providing DGCA-certified drone pilot training.
In a filing to the stock exchanges, the company said that it has been awarded a significant service order by the Adani group to provide Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) certified drone pilot training. This marks a notable milestone when it comes to adopting drone technology within large-scale enterprises like the Adani Group, the company said.
The order involves endorsing the use of drones in the spheres of mapping, monitoring, and inspection within Adani Group's diverse operations, which span across multiple domains including logistics, infrastructure, energy, agribusiness and resources. However, the company did not reveal the value of the order pertaining to drone pilot training.
Drones offer multiple benefits like volume estimation, hotspot detection, asset inspection, crop health monitoring, surveillance, customised project-related requirements and encroachment detection.
“The utilisation of drones by a prominent player like Adani not only signals a significant advancement but also serves as a catalyst for similar companies to embrace this innovative technology,” said the Founder and Managing Director of DroneAcharya, Prateek Srivastava.
On Monday, the industrial drone solutions provider bagged a contract from the Department of Military Affairs under the Defence Ministry for drone pilot training. The company said that the 15-day training programme will cover theory sessions, simulator training and practical on-ground drone flying.
The candidates will receive certificates on completion of the programme, according to DroneAcharya.
Shares of DronAcharya were trading 5.56% lower at ₹143.4 apiece on BSE at 12:43 PM.
