The shares of Bharat Petroleum Corporation ended a percent in the red on Tuesday, down for the third day in a row. Sources in the dealing room tell CNBC-TV18 that a large block deal is expected soon.
Sensex, Nifty 50 At Day's High
Indian benchmark indices Nifty 50 and Sensex ended at the day's high today amid volatility. The market regained half of yesterday's losses. Nifty held 21,700, while Sensex jumped over 500 points. The sharp intraday recovery was led by the financial stocks. Private Banks relatively outperformed, while the flows remained mixed. The FIIs were better sellers.
The support for Nifty 50 is now around 21,690. Relief rally observed in select beaten-down PSU stocks.

Bandhan Bank: The shares of the lender ended half a percent in the red, but off intraday lows on contra buy flows at FII desk today. The stock was down for second day in a row, and has now fallen in seven out of the last ten trading sessions.
Escorts Kubota: The shares of the company ended over one percent lower in the trade on Tuesday. Dealers suggest the presence of delivery-based selling at the FII desk today.
Adani Green & Adani Transmission: The shares of Adani Group's green energy company ended over a percent in the red, down for second session in a row. On the other hand, shares of Adani Transmission tumbled over 2%, snapping a two-day gaining streak. According to dealing room sources, a leading US-based fund is an active buyer of late.
