Prime Minister Narendra Modi's move of demonetisation was not only targeted at banning the Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes but also to encourage the demography to go "cash-less."
However, Indian consumers are using more cash now than before demonetisation. This development comes after a report published by The Print which claimed that the centre stopped printing Rs 2,000 notes in order to stop its circulation.
