The Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance emerged as the biggest party, bagging 353 out of 543 seats in the 17th Lok Sabha elections that concluded last week. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took home a humongous 303 seats.
The 17th Lok Sabha elections also witnessed a rise in the first-time member of parliaments (MPs) getting elected to 300. About 12 percent MPs elected are below the age of 40 years, while only just 6 percent of them are above 70 years.
