In an interview with CNBC-TV18, David Fergusson, Chairman of Global Precious Metals, said that he is positive on gold for 2019.
“I think we will end up the year measurably up. There are a few hiccups as we are seeing at the moment – at the end of the day this US-China trade war I think is the big issue in the global economy at the moment and so I am relatively optimistic to a sensible outcome there which I think will be relatively good,” he said.
He further added, “Tonight is quite an important night for us. We would want to see the gold prices stay above the $1,300 levels tonight. If that happens, that is quite positive for the gold prices next week and in the short term.”
