Larsen & Toubro Ltd is a Mumbai-based multinational and one of the world\'s top five infrastructure builders. L&T notched new orders worth over Rs 2 lakh crore for the first time ever, taking its orderbook to a record high of over Rs 4 lakh crore, in the financial year ending March 2023. The interests of the L&T Group span from construction of roads and bridges to participating in energy projects, defence engineering, and software services (LTI Mindtree) to name a few, via its 92 subsidiaries, 5 associate companies, 27 joint ventures, and 35 jointly-held operations. Out of the total 159 entities, 49 companies belong to listed subsidiaries and 20 are related to development projects. L&T entered green hydrogen manufacturing with a pilot plant, which produces 45 kg of high-purity green hydrogen daily, in Hazira (a port town in the suburbs of Surat in the Indian state of Gujarat).
