Tata Steel will report its fourth-quarter earnings on Thursday and analysts expect the country’s diversified steelmaker to report a rise in sales.
Sales could increase by about 20 percent, the operating profit should be more or less flattish and the net profit number is seen around Rs 2,150 crore.
With regards to India business, the sales volume numbers should show growth of around 18 percent, so that is positive but the same quarter last year there was a shutdown at Kalinganagar facility due to maintenance so volume pickup is on account of a lower base.
Tata Steel Q4 numbers should come post market hours. The press conference is at around 5 pm today.
