The Ministry of Railways on Monday, in a tweet, said that no fresh circular regarding cancellation of trains has been issued. It said media reports stating that Railways has cancelled all regular trains till September 30 are incorrect.
The ministry’s tweet stated that special Mail/Express trains will continue to run as per schedule.
“Some section of media is reporting that Railways has cancelled all regular trains till 30th September. This is not correct. No new circular has been issued by Ministry of Railways. Special Mail Express trains shall continue to run,” Ministry of Railways tweeted.

A notification was doing round on the social media platforms, which stated that all Mail and Express trains will remain suspended until September 30.
Shivaji Sutar, Central Railway CPRO, in a tweet, further clarified regarding the same.
“We have already issued a letter on May 11th , 2020 regarding cancellation of passenger trains, excluding special trains, until further advice,” Sutar tweeted on Monday.

Earlier, the Railways had said that Railway regular passenger and Mail/Express train operations will remain suspended until August 12 in the wake of coronavirus pandemic.
Meanwhile, India has registered 22 lakh over coronavirus cases by Monday.
