Cement maker ACC will be reporting its March-quarter results after the bell on Tuesday and analysts are expecting strong earnings this time around.
We are talking about the first quarter of this calendar year for ACC. The topline growth that we are working with is roughly around 7.5-8 percent. ACC gained because they have 35-38 percent exposure to the south as well as the west of the country and out there prices have surged up particularly in February and March. So that moves to their advantage.
In terms of stock price movement, in the last couple of months, the stock has rallied 25 percent and that coincides with the way cement prices have moved. So expectations are rather high and we will have to see whether or not ACC can go ahead and set the tone for other cement companies.
