L&T CEO SN Subrahmanyan and two more representatives of the L&T Group have joined Mindtree's board as non-executive directors. The appointments will come into effect from July 16, as per regulatory filings.
JD Patil, who is the whole time director and senior executive vice-president of L&T's defence business, and Ramamurthi Shankar Raman, who oversees finance functions across the L&T Group, have been appointed to the Mindtree board.
The board also brought in two independent directors Prasanna Rangacharya Mysore, who had served as the chief legal officer at L&T and Deepa Wadhwa who is the current chair of the India-Japan Friendsahip Forum.
This appointments come as L&T is in the midst of its open offer for a 31 percent stake in Mindtree, which kicked off on June 17 and is set to close on June 28.
L&T currently holds close to 30 percent stake in Mindtree, after acquiring a block stake of 20 percent from VG Siddhartha and the Coffee Day Group and raising the rest from the open market.
