HCL Technologies has offered its employees a one-time bonus worth Rs 700 crore to mark USD 10 billion revenue milestone. Speaking in an interview to CNBC-TV18, C Vijayakumar, CEO of the company said that this is a special bonus and has nothing do to with compensation. He also said that the overall deal pipeline is the strongest that it has ever had.
“It’s completely a new thing, it has nothing to do with the compensation. It’s a special bonus which is 10-days of salary for our employees on the milestone of USD 10 billion that we have achieved in the last calendar year,” he said.
He said the number of deals is significantly higher and that’s the reason the overall deal pipeline is the strongest.
On the growth front, Vijayakumar said, “We would invest in a few geographies where we do not have adequate presence compared to the total IT spends in those markets and the second aspect will be to enhance our digital capability and we will consider acquisitions to bolster growth in products and platforms portfolio.”
France, Germany, Canada, Australia and Japan are focus areas for us, he said.
