The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced a scheduled water supply shutdown in several areas of Mumbai, including parts of wards K East, K West and P South, on Tuesday, October 31. The water supply will be suspended between 8 am and 11 pm to facilitate essential repair work on the water line in the K/East section and conduct a structural audit.
Water supply will remain suspended as BMC will be conducting cross-connection work on the newly laid water main line and a structural audit of Veravali 1 and Veravali 2 reservoirs. Incidentally, there was little water supply in some societies in Bandra West on October 28.
Additionally, there will be a change in the water supply timings for specific areas. SV Marg of K West Division, currently receiving water from 3.30 am to 8.30 am, will now get water from 7.30 am to 12.50 pm starting from November 1, 2023.

The BMC administration has urged citizens residing in the affected areas to store an adequate amount of water during this period and to use water sparingly even after the supply is restored.
