The Indian Air Force (IAF) is preparing to celebrate its 91st anniversary on October 8. As a part of the celebrations, IAF has been organising air shows and other events in different cities across the country. Now, the Indian Air Force has released a video on India’s air prowess and its contributions to nation-building.

In the 11-minute and eight-second video, the Indian Air Force showcases how it guards the country’s territory from high skies. The video also elaborates on the contribution of IAF in development and employment generation. After the video showing IAF’s prowess was shared on Twitter, several users congratulated IAF for its 91st anniversary and many lauded the incredible contributions made by the Indian Air Force.
A Twitter user commented, “Congratulations on the 91st anniversary.”
Another added, “Eagles watch over our nation in the sky.”
“We are proud of you. Our Bharat soldiers have always held their country heads high and will continue to do so in future also”, said a third user.
As a part of its 91st anniversary celebrations, IAF conducted an air show recently in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The air show involved indigenous Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas, Su-30 MKI and Mirage-2000 among others. The air show was held on September 30 above the Bhojtal lake in Bhopal.
The air show was inaugurated by the Governor of Madhya Pradesh, Mangubhai Patel at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
On the occasion of the Indian Air Force’s 91st anniversary, the mega celebration will be held in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh on October 8. IAF will be organising an air show following a parade. According to a DD News report, as many as 120 fighter aircraft, including Rafale fighter jets and helicopters, will take part in the event, which will be operated across 10 airbases. Another highlight of the celebration will be the air display at the Sangam area in the city.
Apart from this, the day will be holding a special significance as it will be the farewell appearance of the MiG-21. However, the event will also witness the newly introduced C-295 transport aircraft.
