A 51-foot-tall idol of Lord Hanuman will be officially unveiled in Delhi's Geeta Colony on January 22, the day of the grand opening of the Ram Mandir in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya.

In a video, posted by ANI on X (formerly Twitter), the idol of Lord Hanuman can be seen carrying Lord Ram and Lakshman on his shoulders.
The preparations are going on in full swing in the temple town of Uttar Pradesh as the country gears up for the much-awaited ‘pran prathistha’ or consecration ceremony at the Ram Mandir.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has referred to the consecration ceremony as a “rashtra utsav” and ordered educational institutes across the state to observe a holiday on January 22. He has also said that the sale of liquor would be prohibited in the state on the day, The Indian Express reported.
On Tuesday, Yogi Adityanath visited Ayodhya to review the preparations for the ceremony, which will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other eminent personalities from all walks of life.
During his visit, Yogi Adityanath offered prayers to Ram Lalla and visited the Hanuman Gari temple in the city. He reviewed the progress of various development projects and met Nritya Gopal Das, Chairman of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
In the coming years, Ayodhya is expected to become a global tourism destination with a focus on spiritual, cultural, and heritage assets and events, PTI reported.
Daily, over three lakh people are expected to visit the temple town in Uttar Pradesh. The planning for the same has been done after studying similar examples abroad, like Vatican City, Cambodia, and Jerusalem, as well as places in India like Tirupati and Amritsar, said Dikshu Kukreja, the master planner behind the project.
Kukreja has previously designed Aerocity in Delhi and 'Yashobhoomi', the India International Convention Centre (IICC) in Dwarka.
As per the master plan, the redevelopment of Ayodhya will be completed over 10 years with a total investment of above ₹85,000 crore to upgrade the city.
