Preparations are going in full swing as India gears up for the grand opening of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22. A civil engineer from Nagpur, Maharashtra, has made an 11-feet replica of Ayodhya Ram Mandir at his residence.

The ‘pran-pratishtha’ or consecration ceremony in the temple town in Uttar Pradesh will take place on January 22.
Ahead of the grand opening of Ram Mandir, Prafulla Mategaonkar has made a replica of the temple by taking help regarding its design from the internet.
“I found several perspectives (for the design) of the Ram Temple on the internet. As a civil engineer, I studied all of them... Then, I made a graphical drawing and thought about the material I would use. This process started before Diwali last year,” Mategaonkar told ANI.
Meanwhile, an architect in Nagpur has also made an exact miniature model of the Ram Mandir, The Times of India reported.
“Not all may visit Ayodhya but they can offer prayers at home and embrace the divine blessings of Lord Rama, thus fostering a serene and spiritually enriched atmosphere,” the national daily quoted Ganesh Harimkar, the architect, as saying.
The miniature model is 84 cm long, 60 cm wide and 42 cm high.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the grand ceremony, while the Ram temple trust has sent invitations to several eminent personalities from all walks of life.
On Friday, Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra stated that Ram Janmabhoomi's soil that was taken out during the digging of the foundation will be packed in boxes and given to the guests attending the consecration ceremony.
Moreover, it stated that PM Modi will be presented with a 15-metre picture of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
Also, the temple trust is making arrangements to give memorable gifts to more than 11,000 guests and invitees who will attend the consecration ceremony.
Besides the soil of Ram Janmabhoomi, the guests will also get 100 grams of special 'Motichoor ladoos' made with desi ghee as prasad, an official of the Ram temple trust said.
