Raymond Group Chairman Gautam Singhania announces separation from wife Nawaz Modi
Chairman and Managing Director of the Raymond Group, Gautam Singhania, announced separation from his wife Nawaz Modi after 32 years. In a social media post, Singhania announced that they have decided to pursue different paths.

"This Diwali is not going to be the same as many in the past. 32 years of being together as a couple, growing as parents and always being a source of strength to each other...we traversed with Commitment, resolve, faith as along came the two most beautiful additions of our lives," Singhania wrote in a long post on X (formerly Twitter).
Singhania married Modi in 1999 and the couple now have two daughters — Niharika and Nisa. He said in his statement that while they are parting ways, they will continue to "do what is the best" for their daughters.
Nawaz Modi is well-known in the field of health & fitness and is the founder Body Art Fitness centres in Mumbai. Modi has not only trained from the American Council of Exercise (ACE) and the International Dance Exercise Association (IDEA), but also holds a law degree.
Apart from running Body Art Fitness and being a celebrity fitness trainer, Modi is also known to hold talks, and sessions over fitness, nutrition, mental health, ageing well, among others. She recently also turned author with a book titled Pause, Rewind: Natural Anti-Ageing Techniques
"Please respect this personal decision and kindly give us the space to settle all aspects of the relationship. Seeking your best wishes for the entire family during these times," Singhania wrote.
The 58-year-old added that there have been a lot of "unsubstantiated rumour mongering, and gossip surrounding our lives fanned by not so well wishers" but did not elaborate further on the same.
Gautam Singhania was in the news a few years ago as well over a spat with his father Vijaypat Singhania, the founder of the textile-to-real estate group.
