Days ahead of the consecration ceremony at the Ram Mandir, the whole city of Ayodhya is steeped in a religious spirit. The temple town in Uttar Pradesh is decked up with flowers and lights for the January 22 event.
The ‘pran-pratishtha’ or consecration ceremony of the Ram Lalla idol will take place at the temple on Monday. The ceremony will start at 12:20 pm on January 22 and is expected to end by 1 pm.
“The auspicious prana-pratishtha yoga of the deity of Bhagwan Shri Ram Lalla arrives on the approaching Paush Shukla Kurma Dwadashi, Vikram Samvat 2080, i.e., Monday, the 22nd of January 2024,” the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra said.

For the mega event, elaborate security arrangements have been put in place. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the consecration ceremony.
According to reports, around 8,000 personalities are expected to remain present at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on Monday.
Besides sending invitations to politicians, sportspersons, and celebrities, the ceremony is also expected to be graced by several big industrialists from different parts of the country.
Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani, and Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani are among the ones who have been sent invitations for the January 22 event.
Some of the other key names include Kumar Mangalam Birla of Aditya Birla Group, Tata Sons' N Chandrasekaran, and Infosys Founder NR Narayana Murthy.
Besides them, Piramal Group chairperson Ajay Piramal, Mahindra Group CEO Anand Mahindra, TCS CEO K Krithivasan, L&T CEO S N Subrahmanyan, Jindal Steel & Power's Naveen Jindal, and Naresh Trehan of Medanta Group have also been reportedly invited for the consecration ceremony on January 22.
For the smooth conduct of the grand ceremony, extensive security arrangements have been put in place throughout the Ayodhya city.
Hotels in Ayodhya are fully booked, while strict protocols have been established for the participation of VIPs and VVIPs.
According to a report in The Times of India, several business magnates intend to use private aircraft to travel to the temple town in Uttar Pradesh on January 22.
