President of India Droupadi Murmu informed her followers on X (formerly Twitter) about receiving a copy of a book — Igniting Collective Goodness: Mann ki Baat@100 — at Rashtrapati Bhawan. Compiled by BlueKraft Digital foundation and published by Westland books, this book is based on the radio show hosted by none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Akhilesh Mishra, CEO of BlueKraft Digital Foundation, led his team members to meet the President Murmu in Delhi.
The book covers the journey of famous radio broadcast, Mann Ki Baat, and celebrates the significant milestone of 100 episodes hosted by PM Modi on some of country's most burning issues. The book, now available online, goes beyond being a mere collection of transcripts. The book features a special foreword authored by PM Modi himself.President Droupadi Murmu received a copy of book 'Igniting Collective Goodness: Mann ki Baat@100’ compiled by BlueKraft Digital foundation and published by Westland books. The 100th Mann Ki Baat radio address was telecast on April 30 this year. The monthly show reached another significant milestone of completing nine years in October. The journey of the legendary radio show commenced on Vijay Dashami in 2014, the year that saw PM Modi rising to the country's top position.
Reacting on the achievement, PM Modi had said, “I just don’t feel that I am even a little far from you. For me Mann Ki Baat is not a programme, for me it is a matter of faith, of worship, or vrat (fast). Like when people go to worship God, they bring along a thaal of prasad (plateful of offerings). For me Mann Ki Baat is like a thaal of prasad at the feet of God in the form of janata-janardhan, the people.”
The Mann Ki Baat programme marked a significant shift from traditional methods of political communication. The show helped PM Modi establish itself as a dialogue with the nation. As per PM Modi, the show focused on the lives and stories of ordinary individuals who have brought about extraordinary change in society.
But, the most important aspect remains that the show helped in reviving the so called "dying medium."
"Igniting Collective Goodness: Mann Ki Baat @ 100 stands as an affirmation of the nation's potential and spirit, proving that by coming together, we can indeed ignite collective goodness and build a brighter future," he said in a blog post earlier.
