Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on October 15, kicked off Navratri with a heartfelt 'garba' composition, extending warm greetings and best wishes for happiness and prosperity to the nation.
As the auspicious Navratri dawns upon us, I am delighted to share a Garba penned by me during the past week. Let the festive rhythms embrace everyone!
I thank @MeetBros, Divya Kumar for giving voice and music to this Garba.https://t.co/WqnlUFJTXm— Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) October 15, 2023
Garba dances, a significant part of Navratri festivities, are especially cherished in Gujarat. Expressing his well wishes, he remarked, "May mother Durga, the source of strength, bestow upon everyone a life filled with happiness, prosperity, good fortune, and good health."
The song titled "Maadi" showcases the essence of the Navratri festival, encapsulating the vibrant tapestry of Gujarat's rich traditions through a colourful visual presentation. The song is sung by Divya Kumar, accompanied by the duo Manmeet Singh and Harmeet Singh of Meet Bros, who composed the music for the track.
Reacting to the track, an X user wrote, "A Gujju is incomplete without Garba. Delighted to see you take time out for this beautiful Garba song!!!"
A user on Youtube wrote, “This video has to be one of the most culturally/exhilarating short I have ever seen! The people of India look so happy! Best wishes to PM Modi.”
This is not the first time that PM Modi has penned a song. The PM on Saturday shared the news of a collaboration with singer Tanishk Bagchi and Dhvani Bhanushali, on a garba song, titled "Garbo".
Singer Dhvani Bhanushali took to X to share the news as well.
Dear @narendramodi Ji, #TanishkBagchi and I loved Garba penned by you and we wanted to make a song with a fresh rhythm, composition and flavour. @Jjust_Music helped us bring this song and video to life.Watch here - https://t.co/WSYdPImzSJ pic.twitter.com/yoZnhEyzC4
