Nuh Violence: Net services resume, MLA Mamman Khan's remand extended by 2 days
After midnight, internet services in Haryana's Nuh district were reinstated. The Haryana government had imposed a two-day suspension on mobile internet and bulk SMS services in the district following the arrest of Congress MLA Mamman Khan, fearing potential tensions.

Mamman Khan, a Congress MLA from Haryana, was arrested in connection with communal violence that erupted in Nuh in August. The arrest was related to the communal clashes that occurred on July 31 in Nuh. The MLA was remanded to police custody for two days on Friday and was presented before the Nuh District Court again after 11 am today, September 17.
A local court today extended police remand of Congress MLA Mamman Khan for two more days as police have named him as accused in three more FIRs. The police told the court that Khan is an accused in FIRs number 150, 148 and 137 and needs to be interrogated for same.
Khan had previously approached the Punjab and Haryana High Court on September 12, seeking protection from arrest, with the hearing scheduled for October 19.
Khan has maintained that he is falsely implicated in the case, asserting that he was not even present in Nuh on the day the violence occurred. However, Haryana Police informed the court that Khan was named as an accused following a thorough evaluation of the evidence. They also claimed to possess phone call records and other evidence supporting their case.
Previously, the MLA had been summoned twice by Nuh Police to appear before the investigation team, but he had not complied, citing viral fever as the reason.

Monu Manesar's name had been mentioned in the FIR related to the deaths of Nasir and Junaid in February of that year. Their charred remains were found in a Bolero in Haryana's Bhiwani district. The clashes resulted in six deaths and numerous injuries.
