Six people died after a fire broke out in a gloves manufacturing factory in the Waluj, MIDC area in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, in the early hours of Sunday, December 31.

Fire officer Mohan Mungse told news agency ANI that they received a call around 2.15am regarding the fire. On reaching the spot, they saw that the entire factory was on fire.
"The locals informed us there were six people trapped inside," he told the news agency, adding that the people had been rescued from inside and fire extinguishing work was on.
Later it was confired that the six people had died.
