India set to participate in five summits in November
November seems to be a month of for international summits. India is all geared up to participate in five of them. All these summits will be virtual, keeping in mind the coronavirus pandemic.

In three out of these five summits, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be coming face-to-face with China's President Xi Jinping, amid the border tensions revolving around Eastern Ladakh.
Let's take a look at these 5 summits:
  • Shanghai Cooperation Organisation:
  • On November 10, Modi will be part of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation(SCO) Heads of State summit. The summit will be hosted by Russia.
  • ASEAN Summit: On November 13-15, India will take part in the the India-Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN) summit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be addressing the summit.
  • BRICS Summit: On November 17, Modi and Xi Jinping will attend the Brazil-Russia-India-China-South Africa (BRICS) Summit. This summit will also be hosted by Russia.
  • G-20 Summit: On November 21-22, Modi and Xi Jinping will once again face each other. Apart from them, the summit will witness the possible winner of the US Presidential elections. This year's G-20 Summit will be hosted by Saudi Arabia.
  • Shanghai Cooperation Organisation: This SCO  heads of government meet on November 30 will be hosted by India. The Indian Foreign minister S Jaishankar is also expected to participate in the summit. Pakistan's foreign secretary Shah Mehmood Qureshi is likely to be present at the meeting.
