Ghaziabad road accident: Six killed in school bus-car crash on Delhi-Meerut Expressway
Six family members were killed and two others severely injured in an accident on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway where a school bus and car collided with each other. The incident took place near Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, around 6 am on Tuesday, July 11.

CCTV footage of the accident shows that the bus was coming in the wrong direction. A head-on collision happened between the school bus and the car, killing six people and seriously injuring two.
The entire fault was of the bus driver who was coming from the wrong direction and he has been caught, police said.
Of those killed, two of them were children seated in the car. A total of eight people were in the car. The bus belonged to the Bal Bharti School in Noida, police added, but no students were on board.
The bus had gone to Delhi and was plying on the wrong side of the expressway after refilling CNG near the Ghazipur border. Meanwhile, the people in the car were travelling from Meerut to Gurgaon.
In response to the accident, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his condolences on Twitter for the loss of lives. He directed District officials to ensure proper medical treatment is given to the injured.
"The bus driver (identified as Prem Pal) has been arrested. He was at complete fault as he was moving on the wrong side," the police said.
The deceased have been identified as Narendra (45), his wife Anita (40), sons Deepanshu (15) and Himanshu (12), niece Vanshika (7) and sister-in-law Babita (35).
Narendra's brother Dharmendra (40) and his son Kartik (5) sustained severe injuries and are undergoing treatment at a private hospital, police said.
