While many speculated if it was a mini cyclone, a meteorologist later clarified that the beach witnessed a natural phenomenon named “Dust Devil”. While speaking to ETV Bharat, the meteorologist said, “This is not a cyclone, but a natural phenomenon. It’s called the Dust Devil. This event is held from time to time. But many people did not notice this. It mostly takes place during the day.”
For those who don’t know, a dust devil is considered to be a strong and well-formed whirlwind. It is short lived and the size ranges from small to large. They are usually harmless but sometimes they can be big enough to disrupt properties.
