Amit Shah inaugurates 3rd anti-terror conference, reinforces India's commitment to counter terrorism
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday (October 5) inaugurated the third 'Anti-Terror Conference' in New Delhi.

Organised by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), the conference witnessed the home minister holding deliberations with pan-India chiefs of the anti-terrorism squads (ATS), State Director General of Police (DGPs) as well as the chief of the Intelligence Bureau (IB).
The conference will see attendees deliberating on terror investigations, terror funding trends and countermeasures, and intelligence techniques among others.
Before the inauguration, the home minister said Narendra Modi's government was firmly committed to rooting out terrorism from India and has adopted a zero-tolerance policy for the same.
"The Modi government is firmly committed to rooting out terrorism from our country. Will inaugurate the '3rd Anti-terror Conference' hosted by @NIA_India in New Delhi today and illustrate Modi Ji's vision behind the policy of zero tolerance for terrorism adopted by our nation," he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
This conference comes in the wake of the recent Khalistani terror activities and ongoing disturbances in Manipur and Jammu & Kashmir (J&K). India's relationship with G20 partner Canada is witnessing a diplomatic low due to the latter's support for Khalistani elements on its soil.
On the other hand, the Northeastern state has witnessed violence since May this year which has led to over 150 killings with over 50,000 people displaced.
