With the Dussehra celebrations just around the corner, the Delhi Traffic Police have issued an advisory, urging motorists to steer clear of specific routes to save time. This measure comes in anticipation of large gatherings over the weekend due to the grand Ramlilas organised by the Shri Dharmik Leela Committee, Luv Kush Ram Lila Committee and Nav Dharmik Ram Lila Committee. These events will captivate audiences at 15th August Park and Madhav Das Park in Delhi.
Starting from October 15 and continuing until October 25, the Ramlilas will commence daily at 6:00 p.m. As the crowd is likely to swell significantly from October 20 onwards, the Delhi Traffic Police implemented traffic management plans to ensure the smooth regulation of vehicles around the iconic Red Fort.
Senior police officers have advised the general public to utilise the efficient services of Delhi Metro and other public transport facilities to reach these venues, given the massive footfall expected. For the convenience of commuters, the traffic police introduced several diversions and instructions to streamline traffic flow, reported Times of India.
