The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Tuesday said that the entry and exit gates at the Lok Kalyan Marg Metro station on the Yellow Line will remain closed until further notice due to security reasons. This comes amid Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) call to 'gherao' Prime Minister Narendra Modi's official residence against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's arrest.

The Delhi Metro further shared that entry and exit at Patel Chowk and Central Secretariat metro stations will also remain affected.
“Due to security reasons, entry/exit at Lok Kalyan Marg Metro station, Gate no 3 of Patel Chowk Metro Station and Gate no 5 of Central Secretariat Metro station will remain closed till further notice,” DMRC said in a post on X.
The AAP had earlier announced to gherao PM Modi's residence to register its protest against the Delhi CM's arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
Kejriwal was taken into custody by the central probe agency on March 21 in connection with a money laundering case linked to the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy. He will remain in custody till March 28.
Ahead of the AAP's protest, the Delhi Traffic Police made special arrangements and restricted the movement of vehicles in the central area of the national capital.
In an advisory, the police said that traffic in central Delhi will remain affected, while parking of vehicles will not be allowed on Kemal Ataturk Marg, Tughlaq Road and Safdarjung Road.

It further stated that if required, the traffic will be diverted from Aurobindo Chowk, Tughlaq Road, Samrat Hotel roundabout, Gymkhana Post Office roundabout, Teen Murti Haifa roundabout, Niti Marg roundabout and Kautilya Marg roundabout.
