The Edelgive Foundation and Hurun India have jointly launched their Annual India Philanthropy report for FY20 and Azim Premji has emerged as India's top philanthropist, donating almost Rs 22 crore a day.

At 37 years of age, Binny Bansal was the youngest on the list and education remained the most favoured philanthropic cause, followed by the healthcare sector.
Vidya Shah, Chairperson and CEO of the Edelgive Foundation said that a lot of CSR has been directed specifically towards COVID-19 this year.
Anas Rahman Junaid MD and Chief Researcher of Hurun said that there was an upsurge in donations toward healthcare this year. He expects healthcare to take the number one spot compared to education next year.
